StoryBoard vs StoryboardHero

An all-in-one AI storyboard platform aimed at agencies, filmmakers, and video creators.

The short answer

Choose StoryboardHero when its specialist strengths match the work you need today. Choose StoryBoard when you want an existing screenplay to move through scene review, approved shots, cast references, live board generation, and coverage review.

Choose StoryboardHero when

StoryboardHero's strengths are the job.

  • You want the tool to generate the concept and script as well as the storyboard.
  • You need client sharing, comments, branded exports, or human sketch support now.
  • Your workflow centers on agency pitches and corporate video concepts.
Choose StoryBoard when

The screenplay should stay attached to every review step.

  • You are starting from a screenplay and want to review its scene and shot structure before generation.
  • You want live shot-by-shot generation controls and visible incomplete-board status.
  • You want a narrower director-first workflow rather than an agency concept generator.
Important context

StoryBoard is still a private beta.

StoryBoard currently ships whole-script scene mapping, scene selection, shot breakdowns, cast-reference setup, live board generation, retries, coverage-focused continuity review, and PDF export.

It does not yet replace precise 3D previs, a professional storyboard artist, mature client sign-off software, or a complete AI video-production suite. Visual consistency remains model-dependent and every important frame still needs human review.
